Idaho is one of the great under-discussed off-road states. The public-land ratio is enormous, the Sawtooths and the Salmon River country deliver alpine forest-road running with genuine remoteness, and the Owyhee canyonlands in the southwest offer high-desert terrain that feels closer to Nevada than to the panhandle's cedar forest.
