About ModShops USA
ModShops USA is the authoritative national directory for 4x4 and off-road specialty shops. It is the reference enthusiasts open when they need to find, vet, and choose a builder, parts shop, or installer near them. Shops list themselves to be discovered by serious enthusiasts ready to invest in their rigs.
Our mission
We are building the infrastructure layer of the off-road aftermarket. The way other services organize restaurants or local businesses, ModShops USA organizes the shops that build, modify, and maintain off-road vehicles — national in scope, local in utility. The directory is the asset; the goal is to make good shops easy to find and easy to trust.
What we are — and what we are not
We are a directory and a reference. We are not a marketplace, a forum, or a parts retailer. We do not sell modifications or take a cut of the work. Our job is discovery and trust: organizing shops by location, service, vehicle, and specialty, and surfacing the signals — verification and real reviews — that help enthusiasts choose well.
How verification works
A “Verified” shop is one whose basics — location, services, and contact details — we have confirmed, so the listing you see is the shop you actually reach. Verification reflects checks we perform. It is not an endorsement of any shop’s work; reviews from real customers do that job.
Who started it
ModShops USA was founded by Jim of Jeepin’ with Jim, who has spent years in the off-road community and saw that good shops deserved better discovery than a scattered web search. The platform is built and operated as its own company; Jeepin’ with Jim is its founding endorser, not its operator.
